At GRIND (operated by Zubro Ltd., "Company", "we", "us", or "our"), our objective is simple: to make you disciplined. We require certain data to make the App function and the algorithm adapt. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for targeted advertising. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we need it, and your rights concerning it.
By using the GRIND mobile application ("App"), website ("Website"), or related services (collectively, "Services"), you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information to provide and improve the Services. The data we collect falls into two categories:
A. Data You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Email address, chosen screen name, and authentication credentials.
- Physical & Fitness Data: The equipment you select (e.g., Pull-up bar, Kettlebells) and your self-reported performance during benchmark physical tests.
- Usage & Performance Data: Your weekly task completions, failures, skipped exercises, Experience Points ("XP"), Level, and the timestamps of these actions.
B. Automatically Collected Data
- Device Information: Operating system, device type, App version, and unique device identifiers to assist with syncing and debugging.
- Log Data: Crash reports, performance metrics, and diagnostic data.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the collected data exclusively to power the core mechanics of the App:
- Algorithmic Generation: Physical and performance data is fed into our proprietary algorithms (running on our backend) to generate your weekly tasks and adapt the difficulty specifically to you.
- Account Synchronisation: To sync your progress (XP, Levels, completions) securely between your local device and our cloud databases, ensuring offline support and cross-device consistency.
- Communication: To send essential account notices, subscription updates, and customer support responses.
- Analytics: To perform statistical analysis on anonymised, aggregated data to improve our algorithm's effectiveness.
3. DATA SHARING & THIRD PARTIES
We do not sell your personal data. We share your data only with trusted infrastructure partners required to operate the App:
- Supabase: Acts as our primary backend.
- RevenueCat: Manages subscriptions and entitlement processing. We share minimal identifiers necessary to verify trial or active subscription status natively with Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store).
These third parties are bound by strict data processing agreements and are not permitted to use your personal data for their own purposes.
4. DATA SECURITY & RETENTION
Your data is transferred over secure, encrypted channels (HTTPS/TLS) and stored in globally distributed secure cloud infrastructure.
- Retention: We retain your performance and account data as long as your account exists, as historical data is necessary for the algorithm to calculate XP decay and long-term periodisation.
- Deletion: If you use the "Start Over" feature, your progress data is wiped within your current account. If you request full account deletion, your personal data will be purged. Anonymised, completely de-identified statistical datasets may be retained indefinitely for algorithmic improvement.
5. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your geographic location and applicable global data protection regulations, you possess specific rights regarding your data:
- Access & Portability: The right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: The right to request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: The right to request the erasure of your personal data.
- Objection & Restriction: The right to object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.
To exercise these rights, or to request a full account deletion, you must contact our support team at support@grind.zubro.xyz. We will respond to your request within the timeframe mandated by applicable law.
6. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
GRIND operates globally. By using the App, you explicitly consent to the cross-border transfer, storage, and processing of your data to our cloud infrastructure located in various international regions, including the United States and the European Union. We employ standard contractual clauses and established safeguards to ensure your data remains protected regardless of where it is processed.
7. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the Services after these changes implies acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
